Chamberlain admission requirements: what to ask before you apply
Chamberlain's requirements depend entirely on which route you are applying to. The pre-licensure BSN assumes no nursing licence and screens on prior academic work and prerequisites. The RN-to-BSN completion assumes an active RN licence plus an associate degree or diploma, which is what unlocks the grant of up to 77 credits. Published requirements change by campus and intake, so get yours confirmed in writing.

- Which route am I being considered for, and does that match the price I have been quoted?
- What are the prerequisite courses for this campus and this intake, and which of mine already satisfy them?
- What is the minimum grade point average, and how is it calculated for someone with my history?
- For the completion route: how many of my credits will actually transfer, against my specific transcript rather than the published maximum?
- What background check, immunisation and compliance requirements apply, and by when?
- What is the application deadline for the session I want, and when is the next one after it?
The one that matters most
The transfer-credit question. On the completion route it determines your total price more than anything else, because the published figure of roughly $29,220 assumes the full 77-credit grant. Ten credits short is over $6,000. It is free to have assessed and it is the single highest-value call available to anyone holding an ADN.
Before you apply at all
Settle which door you are entering by. The two routes reach the same Chamberlain BSN about $53,000 apart, and the admissions conversation will not usually be the place that difference is raised with you.
